菏泽市交通高级技工学校（原菏泽汽运技校）始建于1978年，是一所以汽车运用工程、工程机械、数控车床、计算机应用、经济管理电子电工等为主导专业的综合性职业学校。现学校占地面积210亩，建筑面积5.2万平方米，实习、实验室面积1.8万平方米。学校教职员工260名，讲师、高级讲师61名，"理论、实践"双师型教师48名。学校现设有10个系室，28个专业，在校生3000余人。自建校以来，学校以提高教学质量为核心，以培养技术应用型人才为目标，采用先进的"理-实"一体化教学方法，开拓了一条在市场经济条件下办好职业技能教育的新路子，取得了良好的社会效益和经济效益。2002年被评为"省级重点职业中专学校"。2003年又被评为"国家级重点职业中专学校"。2004年被评为"省级教学规范化学校"、"省级职业教育和成人教育科研基地"、"全省100所骨干示范学校"之一、汽车维修专业被评为"全省200个骨干示范专业"之一。学校被确定为团省委"下岗青工培训基地"，菏泽市总工会"下岗职工再就业培训基地"，菏泽市劳动系统"职业技能鉴定培训基地"，山东省安监局"特种作业技能培训基地"，山东省交通厅"营运驾驶员从业资格培训基地"，菏泽市人事局"全国计算机能力应用考试中心"等六大培训基地。
学校实习设备和设施完善，建有汽车新技术实习室、数控技术实习室、计算机操作室、液压系统及工程机械实习室、焊接实习室、电工电子实验室、烹饪实习室、摩托车维修实习室等。拥有驾驶教练车120辆，汽车发动机总成500余台，普通及数控车床70台，计算机400台，电焊机、氩弧焊机、CO2保护焊机150台。
多年来，学校与多家大型企业保持着密切合作与联系，并在深圳、上海、北京等到地设有安置办事处。每年有12800余名学子从这里成才，走向成功之路。
